German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the world’s largest organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. It is the registered union located in Bonn, Germany. Its members are all state-accredited HEIs and their students’ representatives.
KSMA participated in two training courses on internationalisation within the framework of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Programme.
On the basis of FH Münster University of Applied Sciences there was remotely completed the course “THEA Ukraine – Training for Higher Education Administrators in Ukraine”. THEA Ukraine is professional development programme for Ukrainian higher education administrators in the field of internationalisation in higher education and science management. It combines training elements with consultation for organisational development projects. Such skills as strategic planning, project and process management, change management for internationalisation were developed in the result of the programme.

Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation

Kherson State Maritime Academy and 15 Ukrainian institutions of higher education participate in the training course “Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2022-2023”.
The course “Management of Internationalisation and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2022-2023” has been developed by the International Office of Leibniz University Hannover within the DAAD Programme “Support for the internationalisation of Ukrainian higher education institutions – continuing education programmes for administrators at Ukrainian higher education institutions in education and academic management (2022–2023)”.
The key objective of the training course is to provide staff of Ukrainian higher education institutions with the latest knowledge of the different aspects of internationalisation and its management as well as to develop Ukrainian-German cooperation.
Participants:
- will learn about the concepts and strategies of internationalisation of higher education in different countries;
- will compare German and Ukrainian systems and structure of higher education institutions;
- will learn how to manage all aspects of academic mobility and scientific cooperation;
- will learn how to develop and implement appropriate strategy of internalisation or any other individual project regarding internalisation relevant to their higher education institution;
- will be informed about available instruments for international cooperation funding.
The training course started in January 2022, includes online workshops and short-term internships at German universities and will end with reporting conference in May, 2023.
On 25-29 April, 2022, there was held the 3rd series of seminars on Internationalisation at Home with the participation of world-famous experts in this field such as Espeth Jones, Tanja Reiffenrath, Sake Jager, María Cortés Puch.
