  • modern tendencies of teaching English at higher education institutions;
  • theoretical and practical aspects of intercultural communication;
  • professionally-oriented teaching of English in the process of seafarers’ training: linguistic and methodical aspects.

Research achievements of the Department (2020-2021)

Research projects

In 2020-2021 the teaching staff of the Department of English Language for Deck Officers work on the research project “Implementation of active learning technologies for outcome-based maritime communication training” (registration number 0120U100188).

The purpose of the research project: to explore the possibilities and implement active learning technologies for outcome-based maritime communication training of future navigators.
