The work on training scientific staff of the Department is based on high professionals and is conducted starting from the training of higher education students:
According to the educational-professional program of the second (master’s) level on specialization 271.03 “Ship electrical equipment and automatic devices operation “:
According to the educational-scientific program of the third (educational-scientific) level in the specialty 151 “Automation and computer integrated technologies“:
Initiative groups of higher education students was organized according to the topics of initiative research works of teachers of the Department, who have the opportunity to be engaged in the most modern, productive, relevant research. The scientific staff of the department offers the following main scientific research topics:
Research of energy-saving ship power systems and combined electromechanical propulsive complexes (Prof. I. Ishchenko, Prof. S. Rozhkov, Senior Lecturer S. Voronenko, Assoc. Prof. K. Timofeev);
Control and diagnostics of vessel strength during cargo and ballast operations (Assoc. Prof. O. Zavalnyuk, Assoc. Prof. G. Doshchenko);
Development of principles of construction and research of ship energy saving electric power complexes (Prof. I. Ishchenko, V. Borisova);
Creation of ship uninterruptible power supply systems with transistor converters (Prof. I. Ishchenko, Assoc. Prof. D. Nagovsky, O. Subbotin);
Optimization of parameters of semiconductor devices on the basis of optimization of technology of their manufacturing (docent O. Kolebanov, docent S. Seliverstova);
Improving the efficiency of electric energy conversion control processes in autonomous electrical systems, taking into account competency and communication approaches (Faculty of the department).
The result of this research is numerous reports at student, national, international conferences, writing articles, participation in competitions, seminars, conferences of various levels (see the section Scientific work).
Having a sufficiently high quality teaching staff of the Department, postgraduates of the master’s degree program of the KSMA are actively involved in further scientific work.
