On May 9, 2025, to mark Europe Day, Dr. Iryna SHVETSOVA, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at the English Language Department for Deck Officers of Kherson State Maritime Academy, took part in the International Conference “EU Cohesion Policy: Reality, Challenges and Prospects.” The event was held at Polissia National University within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “EU Cohesion Policy” (101082325 — EUCP).
During the conference, which brought together Ukrainian and international scholars, Dr. Shvetsova delivered a presentation on the role of academic diplomacy — in particular, educational and partnership practices in maritime training — as a tool for supporting EU unity and professional communication in times of global challenges. Her talk addressed key aspects of intercultural interaction, professional English language use, and international cooperation in maritime education.
The conference served as a platform for exchanging ideas on the role of education and science in strengthening European solidarity and fostering inter-institutional collaboration.
