Teacher<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2002 graduated from Kherson State University, Faculty of Foreign Philology with a specialty “Pedagogy of Higher Education. English Language and Literature” and obtained Master\u2019s Degree in the English language and foreign literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been teaching Maritime English to first-, second- and third-year cadets of the following specialties “Electrical Engineering” and “Marine Engineering” since 2015. She has experience in teaching Maritime English to third-year students of \u201cNavigation\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has three publications in dedicated journals of Ukraine: \u201cWays of overcoming language barrier when teaching students with low language proficiency\u201d, \u201cCompetency-based approach applied in teaching English \u2013 as a nowadays solution\u201d, \u201cReducing Teacher Talking Time\u201d. She took part in international Research and Practice Conferences and prepared cadets for participation in \u0406\u0425 All-Ukrainian Student Research and Practice Conference \u201cForeign language in nowadays communication sphere\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced training: Kherson National Technical University, Department of International Economic Relations (Translation Studies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is a co-author of the following students\u2019 books \u201cShipshape Operation\u201d and \u201cControl the Power\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olena Savchenko devised learning activities and content modules for first-, second- and third-year cadets of the following specialty “Electrical Engineering”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research interests: peculiarities of teaching Marine English, peculiarities of teaching English to students with different levels of language proficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
