Kherson State Maritime Academy and the Science Park &#8220;Maritime Industry Innovations&#8221; co-organized the round table for the second time. The first such event under the Memorandum of Cooperation between NISS and KSMA took place 1.5 years ago and was entitled &#8220;Development of transport infrastructure as a driving force of socio-economic development of southern Ukraine.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was moderated by Oleksandr Maksymenko, the Head of the Department for Research of the Taurida Region and the Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Representatives of the government, business and science took part in the round table. Given that the event featured the region&#8217;s leading universities (such as the co-organizer of the event Kherson State Maritime Academy and Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding) in the field of water transport and shipbuilding, the main focus was on the speeches of researchers and scientists. Among the speakers of the round table, the following should be noted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; the welcoming speech of the Deputy Director of NISS, Honored&nbsp;Economist&nbsp;of&nbsp;Ukraine <strong>Yaroslav&nbsp;Zhalilo<\/strong><strong>;<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; speeches of Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Dmytro Butriy and sector expert Tamara Aleksenko concerning the synergy of regional government, science and business in introducing innovative scientific inventions to bridge the economic gap between Ukraine and the world leaders in implementing state-of-the-art technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her report &#8220;Experience of the Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy &#8220;Maritime Industry Innovations&#8221; in the implementation of advanced scientific technologies &#8220;, its director, Ph.D. Alena Leshchenko focused, in particular, on the results of cooperation with NISS. The usage of polymers (KSMA) and composites (Makarov NUS) in such areas as shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing, public safety and energetics were discussed. Reports on the property of the Polymer School of Kherson State Maritime Academy were made by D. Eng. Sc., Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine, Andriy Buketov and his team: D. Eng. Sc., Alexander Sapronov, Ph.D. Eng. Sc., Mykola Brailo, Ph.D., Serhiy Yakushchenko and Postgraduate Kyrylo Yurenin. The speakers paid special attention to the secondary use of raw materials of Ukrainian industry and economic efficiency from the ultra-low cost of polymer and composite materials obtained by using innovative technologies developed by Ukrainian scientists. From Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding the reports were presented by D. Eng. Sc., Yuri Kharytonov &#8220;Formation of the technological platform Shipbuilding 4.0 in Ukraine&#8221; and Ph.D., Yevhen Burdun on the usage of polymer composite materials in the construction of underwater technology. Ihor Darmosiuk, Head of the Kherson Branch of TOV Penetron-Odessa, reported on the practical usage of polymer composites to increase the economic efficiency of vehicles and structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online-seminar &#8220;Internal quality assurance of higher education: development of educational programs and their accreditation&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 18, 2020, The Center for Professional Development of Teachers of KSMA jointly with the Science Park &#8220;Maritime Industry Innovations&#8221; initiated and co-organized an online seminar for representatives of higher educational institutions of the south-eastern region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National&nbsp;Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (EU Project) and the National Higher Education Reform Experts Team and NAQA supported the online meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the event, the seminar participants were greeted by Ed.D.,&nbsp;Rector&nbsp;Vasyl&nbsp;Cherniavskyi. Welcoming remarks were also made by Svitlana Shytikova, Director of National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, and Andriy Butenko, Deputy Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. Speakers were Volodimir Bakhrushin, Vadym Zakharchenko, Irina Zolotaryova, Andriy Butenko and Olena Yeremenko. The event was moderated by D.Sc., Senior Research Associate, the NAES of Ukraine, NEO \u2013 Uraine, Zhanna Talanova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event the new approaches to the internal quality assurance of higher education in accordance with the ESG and national legislation; algorithm for developing, revising and improving educational programs based on the NQF, higher education standards, international standards; ensuring learning outcomes in educational programs; principles of construction and development of syllabus; preparation for accreditation of educational programs and methods of its implementation were presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 300 representatives of higher education institutions from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odessa, Kherson and Sumy regions joined the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the participants receive training certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">For those who did not register for the seminar, there was an online broadcast on the Facebook pages of KSMA and The Center for Professional Development of Teachers, as well as speakers\u2019 presentations were uploaded on the official page of National\u00a0Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event took place on September 25, 2020 at Kherson State Maritime Academy. The organizers were the Baltic-Black Sea Forum and the Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy &#8220;Maritime Industry Innovations&#8221;. Three sections were held on current issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volodymyr Makukha, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, moderated the first section of the \u201cInternational Cooperation on Creating a Zone of Economic Security\u201d. The participants of the event discussed the creation of an \u201ceconomic security belt\u201d during the pandemic and after it. The speakers were representatives of different countries, in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andrius Kubilius<\/strong>, Member of the European Parliament, Prime Minister&nbsp;of Lithuania in 1999-2000, 2008-2012;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alar Teras<\/strong>, representative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, Estonia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jacek Piechota<\/strong>, Minister of Economy of Poland&nbsp;in 2001-2003 and 2005;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Toyli Atayev<\/strong>, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Embassy of Turkmenistan to Ukraine;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gvidas&nbsp;Kerushauskas<\/strong>, Ambassador-at-Large&nbsp;of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dariusz Kijanka<\/strong>, representative of Pomeranian Development Agency, Poland;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Arnur Tanbay<\/strong>, counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Suat Hacisaliho\u011flu<\/strong>, Chairman of the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the work of the first section, a number of agreements were signed, including a Memorandum of Partnership between the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum and the International Trade Club in Ukraine. The International Trade Club unites more than 60 diplomatic and trade representatives of foreign embassies in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum the memorandum was signed by Chairman of the Board, Viktor Popov. On behalf of the International Trade Club in Ukraine, the memorandum was signed by Vice President of the Trade Club, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Ukraine, Sonya Krajchova<strong>. <\/strong>It was endorsed during the forum by a member of the Trade Club, Commercial Attach\u00e9 of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, Sergejus Tichomirovas. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum by the chairman of the board of the forum Viktor Popov and the chairman of the board of the chamber Suat Hacisalihoglu.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second section of the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, hosted by Kherson State Maritime Academy on September 25, 2020, was entitled &#8220;Transport Logistics and the Creation of an International Corridor for Effective Cooperation&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The section was attended by:<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leila Batyrbekova<\/strong> \u2013 Deputy Secretary General, Association Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Kazakhstan);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Serik Akhmetov<\/strong> \u2013 General Director, Port Kuryk (Kazakhstan);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mateusz&nbsp;Frankiewicz<\/strong> \u2013 Project Manager, Port Gdynia (Poland);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sergejus Tichomirovas<\/strong> \u2013 Commercial Attach\u00e9, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Arturas Drungilas&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Marketing and Corporate Affairs Director of Klaipeda State Seaport (Lithuania);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Viktor Sokha<\/strong> \u2013 Director, Dnipro Cargo Limited (Ukraine &#8211; Great Britain);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dmytro Zhminko<\/strong> \u2013 Chairman of the Board of Directors, U-Port Group (Ukraine &#8211; Great Britain).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volodymyr Makukha, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, moderated the second section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the forum, the General Director of Port Kuryk Serik Akhmetov and the General Director of Turkmen Milli Logistik Begench Mamedov signed a cooperation agreement at the Caspian Sea between the modern seaport of Kuryk (Kazakhstan) and one of the leaders in the transport and logistics industry of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Milli Logistik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> A quadripartite cooperation agreement was also signed between Kherson State Maritime Academy, the Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy &#8220;Maritime Industry Innovations&#8221;, the Lithuanian Maritime Academy and Port of Kuryk. The rectors of Kherson and Lithuanian Maritime Academies \u2013 Vasyl Cherniavskyi and Vaclav Stankevic, Director of the Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy \u201cMaritime Industry Innovations\u201d Alena Leshchenko and General Director of the modern seaport Kuryk Serik Akhmetov signed this agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership agreement between the Gmina Gromadka (Poland) and the Muzykivka United Territorial Community (Ukraine) was signed by the head of Muzykivka UTC Savely Leibzon \u2013 on the Ukrainian side, and on the Polish side by the voit (mayor) of Gmina Gromadka Dariusz Pawliszczy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third section &#8220;International Cooperation in Higher Education: Opportunities and Prospects&#8221; was moderated by Rector of Kherson State Maritime Academy Vasyl Cherniavskyi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main topic of the section was the development of international cooperation and the impact of the pandemic. Vasyl Cherniavskyi suggested his colleagues to turn to the possibilities of virtual academic mobility, which will allow not to interrupt the process, but on the contrary, to consider all the possibilities for its implementation in such form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The speakers were representatives of different countries, in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rima Mickiene<\/strong><strong> \u2013 <\/strong>Deputy Director<strong> <\/strong>of Lithuanian Maritime Academy;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heikki Koivisto<\/strong> \u2013 authorized representative of the International Association of Maritime Universities, Professor of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Finland);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Snieguole Matuliene<\/strong> \u2013 Dean of Public Security Academy of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Artur Kahramanian<\/strong> \u2013 Vice-Rector of Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport (Ukraine);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Arturas Razbadauskas<\/strong> \u2013 Rector of Klaipeda University (Lithuania);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blagovest Belev<\/strong> \u2013 Scientific Secretary of Nikola Vaptsarov Navel Academy (Bulgaria);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Valentyn Chymshyr<\/strong> \u2013 Director of the Danube Institute of the National University &#8220;Odessa Maritime Academy&#8221;;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Oleksandr Maksymenko<\/strong> \u2013 the Head of the Department for Research of the Taurida Region and the Crimea (Ukraine);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dariusz Pawliszczy<\/strong> \u2013 Local government organization in Poland Voit of Gmina Gromadka in Boleslawiec county, Lower Silesian Voivodship,&nbsp;Doctor engineer&nbsp;(Poland).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the section\u2019s work, a cooperation agreement was signed between Kherson State Maritime Academy (signed by Rector of KSMA Vasyl Cherniavskyi) and Mykolas Romeris University (signed by its representative \u2013 Snieguole Matuliene, Dean of Public Security Academy).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a cooperation agreement was signed between Kherson State Maritime Academy, represented by Rector Vasyl Cherniavskyi, and Danube institute of National university \u00abOdessa Maritime Academy\u00bb represented by Director Valentyn Chymshyr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, Rector of KSMA Vasyl Cherniavskyi announced and signed the Talloires Declaration for sustainability. The registrar for the Talloires Declaration is the Washington, DC-based organization University Leaders for a Sustainable Future. As of February 1, 2017, 502 college and university presidents have signed the declaration.
