1983 – graduated from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute, obtained qualification of a mechanical engineer and received a Specialist’s diploma on the specialty “Automobiles and Automotive Industry”.
1988 – completed postgraduate studies at Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute and defensed a Candidate’s thesis on the specialty 05.04.02 “Heat Engines”.
1993 – received the academic rank of Associate Professor of the Department of General Technical Disciplines.
2016 – completed doctoral studies at Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University and defensed a thesis on the specialty 05.22.20 “Operation and Repair of Means of Transport”.
2018 – received the academic title of Professor of the Department of Ship Power Plants Operation.
1989 – 2000 – assistant, senior lecturer, Associate Professor of the Department of General Technical Disciplines at Uman State Pedagogical University;
2000 – 2021 – Head of the department at Donetsk Automobile College;
2001 – 2009 – Associate Professor of the Department of Automobiles and Automobile Industry, Donbas National Academy of Construction and Architecture;
2009 – 2014 – Associate Professor of the Railway Rolling Stock Department, Donetsk Institute of Railway Transport at Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport;
2016 – 2017 – Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Operation and Service of Automobiles, Kharkiv Automobile and Highway University;
2017 – till present – Professor of the Department of Ship Power Plants Operation, Kherson State Maritime Academy.
June, 2018 – Corresponding Member of the Transport Academy of Ukraine.
Ihor Hrytsuk is a reviewer, member of an editorial board of scientific journals and collections included in professional editions of Ukraine.
Ihor Hrytsuk has 700 scientific publications including 244 scientific articles in scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science, 1 textbook, 5 training manuals and 14 scientific monographs, 35 invention certificates of the USSR and patents of Ukraine for an invention and a utility model, 60 Ukrainian certificates for copyright registration etc.
Research interests: monitoring efficiency of the vehicles operation; intelligent transport systems and information technologies in transport; operation and diagnostics of power plants and vehicles.
Ihor Hrytsuk teaches the disciplines “Use of Methods for Technical Diagnostics during Ship Technical Equipment Operation” and “Organization of Ship Power Plants Technical Operation”.
