Biography
Was born on January 24, 1977 in Bilokrynytsia village, Kremenets district, Ternopil region.
Citizen of Ukraine. Non-party. Married, has a son.
Education: Kherson State Pedagogical Institute – specialty “Physics and Information Science”, Diploma with distinction (1999); Kherson Maritime College – specialty “Navigation and Marine Engineering”, qualification – Bachelor of Navigation (2001); Kherson State Maritime Institute – specialty “Navigation”, qualification – Specialist of Navigation (2009).
PhD in Pedagogical Sciences – specialty “Theory and Methodology of Teaching (Physics)” (since 2007). Associate Professor of Department of Navigation, Labor and Environmental Protection (since 2014).
November 2, 2017 – defended his doctorate thesis on the topic “Theoretical and Methodological Basics of Teaching Physics to Future Professionals of Sea and River Transport” at the Specialized Academic Board D 26.053.06 of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, specialty – 13.00.02 “Theory and Methodology of Teaching (Physics)”
September 1999 – began his professional activity in the position of physics teacher at Kherson Maritime College. From 2002 till 2007 – occupied the positions of Deputy Head of Navigation in Academic Work, Head of Shipbuilding Department and Head of Navigation Department at Kherson Maritime College.
2001-2002 – shipboard training onboard merchant vessels as a member of deck crew, Niesco Shipping Company.
September 2004-2007 – Vice Dean for Academic Affairs on a part-time basis, Faculty of Navigation and Marine Engineering, Kherson Maritime Institute of private ownership.
From 2007 – worked at Kherson State Maritime Institute, first as Associate Professor of Department of Natural Sciences, where he simultaneously was Acting Head; and from 2008 till 2011 – as Dean of Navigation and Marine Engineering Faculty.
2011-2018 – worked as Dean of Navigation Faculty at Kherson State Maritime Academy.
From 2009 – was a member and a regular participant in the Sub-Committee for Sea and River Transport, Methodological Committee for Issues of Transport and Transport Infrastructure, Methodological Board for Issues of Education, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Since 2016 – has been working as part of the Methodological Committee for Transport and Service (Sub-Committee 276 “Transport”), Higher Education Sector, Methodological Board, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, according to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated April 06, 2016 no. 375.
Co-author of the industrial standards in specialties “Navigation” of the educational qualification level Junior Specialist and “River Sea Transport” of the higher education level Bachelor.
Has over 60 scientific and methodological publications.
Awarded with Certificates of Merit of the Inspectorate for Training and Certification of Seafarers twice (in 2009 and 2014).
Since April 2018 – has been holding the position of Rector of Kherson State Maritime Academy.
