On September 08, 2023, representatives of KSMA held an online meeting with Dr. Mustafa Nuran, Dean of the Maritime Faculty, Dokuz Eylul University İzmir, Turkey. Participants of the meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation between educational institutions in implementing student and teaching mobility programmes, joint research, holding seminars, roundtables and conferences.
On September 12, 2023, within the framework of establishing cooperation between Kherson State Maritime Academy and foreign higher education institutions, the first online meeting of KSMA representatives with Bolat Sarsenbaiev, Dean of the Maritime Academy at Yessenov University (Kazakhstan) took place. Members of the meeting discussed opportunities for participation in teaching mobility programmes, research in scientific areas, etc.
On September 25, 2023, a first working meeting on the training and organizational campaign to further cooperate within the Erasmus+ project took place. The project is aimed at supporting Ukrainian students from maritime higher education institutions. The event was moderated by Markku Mylly, Senior Advisor, SeaFocus Business Platform, Finland. Representatives of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Lithuania), Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain), Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), National University “Odesa Maritime Academy” and Kherson State Maritime Academy (Ukraine) attended the conference. Participants of the meeting discussed urgent issues related to the arrangement and management of the Erasmus+ project and agreed a schedule of further working meetings.
On January 9, 2024, a first working meeting on the preparatory and organizational campaign for further cooperation under the Erasmus+ Programme for International Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education Action took place. The event was moderated by Dr. Muhammad Tahif Fattani and Waqar Baig, the representatives of the Pakistani universities – Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, and the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES). Participants of the meeting got acquainted with the project topic: “Synchromodal Transport Technologies”, and outlined the next steps of cooperation. On January 23, 2024, a second working meeting was held.
On January 9, 2024, the first working meeting was held on the preparatory, organizational campaign for further cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus+ project: Higher Education – International Capacity Building. The event was chaired by representatives of the Pakistani universities Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology and National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Nuces – Dr. Muhammad Tahif Fattani and Waqar Baig. The participants of the meeting were familiarized with the topic of the project – Synchromodal Transport Technologies and outlined further steps of cooperation.
On January 23, 2024, the second working meeting was held.
A working meeting was held with Adel El Aidy, a representative of the Maritime Association, on February 23, 2024. The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation.
On April 18, 2024, KSMA participated in an international online exhibition organized by one of the most famous educational consulting companies – Begin Group (Germany). The exhibition provided an opportunity for universities to present their educational services to students from different countries. The target audience of this event was representatives of Sub-Saharan African countries such as: Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Africa, Ethiopia, etc. An online presentation of the opportunities for foreign citizens to study at KSMA on an international platform was conducted by the head of the international Affairs Department, Alona YURZHENKO.
On March 18-20, 2025, an information dissemination event “Grant opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and support instruments within the framework of the Horizon Europe Program” was held, which was held by representatives of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
On May 20, 2025, the first working online meeting between representatives of KSMA and Holy Cross of Davao College, Philippines, took place.
On May 21, 2025, a working meeting was held on the preparatory, organizational campaign for further cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus+ project. The conference was attended by Ioannis Dagkinis, representative of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport of the University of the Aegean (Greece), Slava Garelin, Technical Director of the OMS VR campaign (Ukraine), and representatives of Kherson State Maritime Academy (Ukraine). During the meeting, urgent issues of organization and management of the proposed Erasmus+ project were discussed and further actions were agreed.
On September 22, 2025, the first online “Meet & Greet” meeting was held between students of Kherson State Maritime Academy and students of Holly Cross of Davao College, Philippines. The event was moderated by Sheryl J. Urdaneta (Head of the Communications Center, Erasmus+ Coordinator). 138 people joined the meeting. During the event, an interactive session “Connecting our cultures” was held, during which everyone had the opportunity to communicate in English and learn more about the Philippines and Ukraine.
On September 19, 2025, employees of the International Affairs Department joined the online meeting “Strategic Partnership for Development: A Proposal for Ukrainian Universities”
On November 7, 2025, the second working meeting of Kherson State Maritime Academy with representatives of the National Maritime College of Ireland (Ringaskiddy, Republic of Ireland) took place. The meeting was moderated by Michael Hall, Senior Lecturer and INGENIUM Partnership Coordinator at Munster University of Technology.

The meeting was moderated by Michael Hall, Senior Lecturer and INGENIUM Partnership Coordinator at Munster University of Technology. The parties outlined key areas of future cooperation: joint scientific research; educational projects; teaching and student mobility.
On January 8, 2026, the first working meeting of this year on cooperation between Kherson State Maritime Academy and the Indian Maritime University (Chennai, India) took place. The meeting was moderated by Nandakrishnan S. L., Assistant Professor & Nodal Officer. During the discussion, the parties outlined key areas of future cooperation, including: joint scientific publications; guest lectures and academic exchanges.
On January 9, 2026, the first working meeting of Kherson State Maritime Academy with representatives of the National Maritime College of Ireland (Ringaskiddy, Republic of Ireland) took place this year. The meeting was moderated by Michael Hall, Senior Lecturer and INGENIUM Partnership Coordinator at Munster University of Technology. During the discussion, the parties outlined possible formats of cooperation and focused on the prospects for organizing academic exchanges between the institutions.
On 12 January, 2026 working meeting of Kherson State Maritime Academy with Dr-Ing Orestis Schinas, Associate Professor of Ship Finance at the University of the Aegean and Swan Marine Services took place.
