Academic staff of English Language Department for Marine Engineers joined the X International Scientific Conference “Sustainable Transport System and Maritime Logistics”, dedicated to the International Day of the Seafarer.

The event was organized by the Batumi Navigation University (Georgia), which brought together scientists and experts in the maritime industry from Ukraine, Georgia, Poland, Lithuania, Croatia, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Great Britain and other countries of the world.

During the conference, topical issues of the development of sustainable transport systems, maritime logistics, digitalization of the industry, innovative education and international cooperation were discussed.

Kherson State Maritime Academy was represented by:

🔹 Alona Leshchenko, Alona Yurzhenko and Olena Kononova presented a report on the experience of implementing an international master’s programme of dual award in the field of transport technologies.

🔹 Natalia Ohorodnyk presented research on the integration of artificial intelligence skills into the training of future ship engineers.

🔹 Oleksandra Litikova presented a report on the use of modern mobile technologies for the development of professional English-speaking communication of seafarers. The participation of representatives of KSMA in the prestigious international scientific forum confirms the high level of scientific activity of the academy, its active integration into the global educational space and the desire to introduce modern approaches in the training of maritime specialists.
