Kherson State Maritime Academy actively cooperates and maintains partnership relations with Kherson National Technical University, particularly in the field of research activities of higher education students.
On April 16–17, 2026, the XVII All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Foreign Languages in Modern Communicative Space” was held at KNTU. Academic staff of English Language Department for Deck Officers at KSMA ensured the preparation of students for participation in this academic event. Under the supervision of Associate Professors Svitlana BARSUK, Tamara PINDOSOVA, Larysa LIPSHYTS and Senior Teacher Bohdan NAHRYBELNYI, the following students took part in the conference: Mykyta SOROKA (group 151m), Kostiantyn PEDCHENKO (group 132ap), Eldar KIRPICHOV (group 121), and Andrii ADRIEIEV (group 142z).
In cooperation with their academic supervisors, students presented the results of their studies focused on current issues in Maritime English and prepared abstracts for publication in the conference proceedings. In addition, Associate Professor Larysa LIPSHYTS was invited to contribute to the organization of the conference and acted as a moderator of Section 1, “Issues of Development and Functioning of Language Systems.” Under her moderation, active scientific discussions and exchange of research findings took place, contributing to outlining directions for further research.
