As part of career guidance activities, representatives of Kherson State Maritime Academy, Associate Professors O. Litikova and H. Solovei, conducted an online meeting with senior pupils and teachers of Kherson Secondary School No. 36.

During the event, participants were presented with general information about the Academy, its history, academic structure, and training programs within specialty J5 “Maritime and Inland Water Transport” (navigation, marine engineering, and electro-mechanical engineering). Particular attention was paid to the organization of the educational process under martial law conditions, including blended learning, the use of modern simulators, safe learning environments, as well as accommodation and practical training opportunities.

The participants were introduced to a step-by-step model of professional development that combines theoretical instruction, simulator-based training, and on-the-job practice, enabling cadets to gain real-world experience during their studies. Special emphasis was placed on employment prospects: graduates receive an internationally recognized diploma and have opportunities to work in foreign shipping companies.

Senior pupils were also provided with examples of successful students who, благодаря ранней практике, качественной профессиональной подготовке и прохождению англоязычных собеседований, achieve rapid career advancement. In particular, some of them already hold positions as junior marine engineers by their fourth year and participate in international voyages.

The event was held in a constructive atmosphere; pupils showed strong interest in maritime professions and received comprehensive information about admission and study at Kherson State Maritime Academy.
