Associate Professor of English Language Department for Marine Engineers Alona YURZHENKO took part in the third module of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers. Representatives of the KSMA completed the training block “Personnel Management”, which was held from February 10 to 13, 2026.
This is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, implemented by the British Council as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the World Bank “Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results”.
For four days in Kyiv, on the basis of Mariupol State University, KSMA team worked on the formation of a modern vision of human resources management in a higher education institution with an emphasis on distributed leadership, team interaction and development of human potential. The module considered the evolution of approaches to personnel management, talent management, autonomy of higher education institutions in personnel matters, as well as the principles of building a holistic personnel management system focused on professional excellence and sustainable results.
