On December 15, 2025, an online career guidance event was held for graduating students of Kherson Educational Complex “Preschool Educational Institution – Specialized School with In-Depth Study of English Language I Level – Gymnasium” No. 56 of Kherson City Council.
Valentyna KUDRIAVTSEVA, Head of English Language Department for Deck Officers, Natalia OHORODNYK, Head of English Language Department for Marine Engineers, and Ivan RIABUKHA, Head of Future education and skills development training center, familiarized the participants with the specialities that can be obtained at all levels of education at the academy, the importance and peculiarities of learning Maritime English as the official language of communication in international crews, and spoke about the advantages of the seafaring profession, including mastering a prestigious profession, quick career growth, and decent wages. Information about the fruitful cooperation between Kherson State Maritime Academy and crewing companies, onboard practice, 100% employment of bachelor degree graduates, and double degree agreements between the academy and some higher education institutions in Europe was important for the participating high school students.
The event was held due to assistance of Svitlana MYKYTYUK, director of the educational complex.
