On April 22, 2025, Dr. Iryna Shvetsova SHVETSOVA, Professor of English Language Department for Deck Officers at Kherson State Maritime Academy, took part in the international educational event “Global Women Leadership Speaker Series”, organized by Ivy Tech Community College (USA).
As part of the session titled “Teaching Through Crisis: Empowering Ukrainian Women and Girls in Higher Education,” Dr. Iryna SHVETSOVA, together with Dr. Lyudmila KRUHLENKO (PSTU/University of Bamberg, Germany), shared her experience of teaching during wartime, highlighting the challenges and accomplishments of Ukrainian educators and students who remain devoted to learning despite ongoing hardship.
The event brought together an international academic audience and served as a platform for intercultural dialogue, mutual support, and the exchange of professional experience in the fields of education, leadership, and women’s empowerment during times of crisis.
