In 1969, he graduated from the Kherson Maritime School with a degree in Universal Mechanic Technician.
In 1983, he graduated from the Odessa Institute of Marine Engineers with a degree in Mechanical Engineer of Ship Power Plants.
From 1969 to 1991, he worked at the Black Sea Shipping Company as a Mechanic of the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Category.
From 1991 to 1996, he worked as a Mechanic of the 1st Category on ships of the Vietsovlichter Company (Saigon, Vietnam).
From 1997 to 2007, he worked as a Mechanic of the 1st Category on large-tonnage ships of the Cape Size type in the Standard Shipping Company (New York, USA).
From 2008 to 2019, worked as a first-class mechanic on container ships of German shipowners.
From 2019 – 2022, worked as the head of the laboratory of ship power plants of the department.
Since 2020 – senior lecturer of the department.
Teaches the disciplines: “Maintenance and repair of ship technical equipment”, “Introduction to the specialty”, is the head of the swimming practice of applicants.
