On December 20, 2023 at KSMA first-year students participated in the English Language Olympics. Three departments were involved: English Language Department for Deck Officers, English Language Department for Maritime Officers (abridged programme) and English Language for Marine Engineers. Oleksandr AKIMOV, Dean of the Marine Engineering Faculty and Oleksandra LITIKOVA, Head of English Language Department for Marine Engineers, addressed the participants with opening remarks. The event was organized by Valeriia BONDARENKO, Teacher of English Language Department for Deck Officers.
In judging panel English Language Department for Deck Officers was represented by Valentyna KUDRYAVTSEVA, Head of the Department, and Iryna SHVETSOVA, Deputy Head in Organizational Work. English Language Department for Marine Engineers was represented by Oleksandra LITIKOVA, Head of the Department whereas English Language Department for Maritime Officers (abridged programme) – by Tamara PINDOSOVA, Deputy Head of the Department for Scientific Work.
According to the results of two stages of the Olympics, the winners are:
